Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Fresh cilantro leaves (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger. This will be your glaze and marinade.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator (up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Preheat the Pan: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the salmon for a nice sear.

Cook the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Season each fillet lightly with salt and pepper. Place the salmon skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, until the skin is crispy.

Glaze the Salmon: Flip the salmon fillets carefully and reduce the heat to medium. Brush half of the remaining marinade over the salmon. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Final Glaze: During the last minute of cooking, brush the other half of the marinade over the salmon to create a sticky glaze.

Serve: Transfer the salmon to a serving platter. Garnish with sliced green onions and fresh cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
