Ingredients

2 large flour tortillas

2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and thinly sliced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons butter

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Honey or maple syrup (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Apples: In a medium bowl, toss the thinly sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Ensure the apples are evenly coated and set aside.

Blend the Cheeses: In another small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and well-combined.

Assemble the Quesadilla: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over one side of each tortilla. On one tortilla, layer the spiced apple mixture over the cream cheese, and then sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top. Place the second tortilla on top, cream cheese side down, to create a sandwich.

Cook the Quesadilla: In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once the butter is sizzling, carefully place the assembled quesadilla in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has melted.

Slice Your Triangles: Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before slicing it into 8 triangles.

Finishing Touches: Dust the triangles with powdered sugar and, if desired, drizzle with honey or maple syrup for an extra touch of sweetness.

Serve: Present your delicious Sweet Apple Quesadilla Triangles warm, and enjoy as a delightful snack or dessert!
