1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare Chickpeas: Spread the drained and rinsed chickpeas on a clean kitchen towel or paper towel. Pat them dry to remove excess moisture. This helps them to get crispy during roasting.

      Season Chickpeas: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir well to create a marinade.

        Toss Chickpeas: Add the dried chickpeas to the bowl with the marinade. Toss them thoroughly to ensure every chickpea is evenly coated.

          Spread on Baking Sheet: Pour the coated chickpeas onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded for optimal crispiness.
