Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 ripe avocados, diced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

1 lime, juiced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

1 head of butter lettuce or romaine, leaves separated

Optional: hot sauce or chili flakes for extra heat

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, mix the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Ensure the shrimp are evenly coated.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Avocado Mixture: In another bowl, gently combine the diced avocados, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice. Season with a bit of salt and pepper. Be careful not to mash the avocado too much; you want to keep it chunky.

Assemble the Wraps: Take a lettuce leaf and spoon some of the avocado mixture onto it. Top with the cooked shrimp. If desired, add a dash of hot sauce or sprinkle chili flakes for added spice.

Serve: Lay all your prepared lettuce wraps on a platter. They are best enjoyed fresh, so serve immediately and let everyone build their own wraps!
