2 tablespoons almond butter (or any nut butter of your choice)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon protein powder (vanilla or chocolate flavor)

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips (optional)

1 tablespoon chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions
 

In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the almond butter and honey (or maple syrup). Microwave for about 15 seconds to soften, then stir until well combined.

    Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, protein powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until you have a smooth, thick batter.

      If desired, fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts for an extra crunchy texture.

        Transfer the batter to a greased or lined microwave-safe mug or a small baking dish.

          Microwave the brownie mixture on high for about 30-40 seconds. (Note: Cooking time may vary depending on the wattage of your microwave; start checking at 30 seconds.)

            Remove the brownie once it has puffed up and is set. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before devouring.
