Ingredients

1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup pepperoni slices

1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pizza dough and cut it into 12 equal squares (approximately 3 x 3 inches each).

Assemble the Bombs: Place about 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella in the center of each dough square. Top with 2-3 slices of pepperoni and a teaspoon of pizza sauce.

Form the Bombs: Gently fold the corners of each dough square towards the center, pinching to seal the fillings inside. Roll into a ball and ensure there are no openings.

Season the Tops: In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Brush the mixture over the tops of the pizza bombs for extra flavor.

Add Egg Wash: Using a pastry brush, apply a thin layer of beaten egg on each bomb to give them a golden-brown finish when baked.

Bake: Place the pizza bombs on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with additional pizza sauce for dipping and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
