3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

2 cups mini marshmallows, plus extra for topping

1 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 8 full sheets)

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Prepare Your Pan: Line a 9x9 inch square pan or an equivalent-sized dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. Lightly spray the paper with cooking spray for easy release.

    Melt the Butter and Marshmallows: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until they are fully melted and the mixture is smooth. This should take about 3-4 minutes.

      Add the Dry Ingredients: Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Gradually add the cocoa powder and graham cracker crumbs to the melted marshmallow mixture, stirring until fully combined.

        Incorporate the Rice Krispies: Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until they are evenly coated with the chocolate-marshmallow mixture.

          Fold in Chocolate Chips: Add the chocolate chips to the mixture, saving a few to sprinkle on top if desired. Stir to incorporate, making sure the chocolate chips are evenly distributed.

            Press into the Pan: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Using a spatula or your hands (lightly greased), press the mixture down firmly into an even layer. If using extra mini marshmallows or chocolate chips, sprinkle them on top and gently press them in.

              Chill and Set: Let the treats cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. For quicker setting, refrigerate the treats for about 15-20 minutes.

                Slice and Serve: Once set, use the parchment paper to lift the treats out of the pan. Cut them into squares or rectangles and serve! These treats can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
