Mini Chicken Salad Sliders

Ingredients
  

2 cups cooked chicken, finely shredded

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 cup celery, finely chopped

1/4 cup red onion, finely diced

1/4 cup sweet pickle relish

Salt and pepper to taste

12 small slider buns

Leafy romaine or butter lettuce (for garnish)

Optional: sliced tomatoes and avocado for added toppings

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.

    Add the chopped celery, onion, and pickle relish to the chicken mixture. Stir to combine, ensuring that the veggies are well distributed throughout the salad.

      Season the salad with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the flavors according to your preference.

        Slice the slider buns in half. If desired, lightly toast them on a skillet or in a toaster for added texture.

          Spread a generous portion of the chicken salad on the bottom half of each slider bun.

            Add a leaf of lettuce to each slider, and top with sliced tomatoes and avocado if using.

              Place the top half of the buns on each slider and press gently to secure the ingredients.

                Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate them for up to an hour for chilled flavor.
