Preheating your oven is a crucial step in baking that many novice cooks may overlook. The importance of the correct temperature cannot be overstated—it ensures even cooking and proper rising of baked goods. For our Mini Cheeseburger Stuffed Biscuits, you want to preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This temperature allows the biscuits to bake evenly, giving them a fluffy interior and a perfectly golden-brown exterior. Take the time to let your oven reach the desired temperature before placing your biscuits inside, as this will set the foundation for a delightful texture and flavor.

Ingredients

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (flaky variety)

1 lb ground beef

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup diced onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup dill pickles, diced

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 egg (for egg wash)

Sesame seeds (for topping, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Cook the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Add Flavorings: To the cooked beef, add the diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onions soften and are fragrant.

Combine Ingredients: Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced pickles. Mix until everything is well combined. Let it cool for a few minutes.

Prepare the Biscuits: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. On a clean surface, flatten each biscuit slightly with your hand or a rolling pin to make them easier to fill.

Fill the Biscuits: Place a generous spoonful of the cheeseburger filling in the center of each flattened biscuit. Gently fold the sides over the filling and pinch the seams to seal them tightly, forming a little pouch.

Brush with Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg. Brush the top of each stuffed biscuit with the egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.

Bake: Place the stuffed biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Allow the mini cheeseburger stuffed biscuits to cool for a few minutes before serving. These are fantastic on their own or served with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or mustard.
