Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork sausage

1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies

1 can (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning

1/2 cup sliced green onions (plus more for garnish)

1/2 cup black olives, sliced (optional)

Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and ground pork sausage until fully cooked, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

Stir in the taco seasoning, making sure to coat the meats evenly, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture with black beans, diced tomatoes (with their juices), cream cheese, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, half of the Monterey Jack cheese, and green onions.

Mix everything thoroughly until well combined. If desired, add the sliced black olives for an extra flavor kick.

Transfer the dip mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Top with the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, ensuring a generous layer covers the dip.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are lightly browned.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with additional sliced green onions and serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
