Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1 ripe mango, peeled and chopped

2 habanero peppers, stems removed (adjust based on heat preference)

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped mango, habanero peppers, honey, soy sauce, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and well-combined.

Marinate the Wings: Place the chicken wings in a large zip-top bag or a bowl. Pour the mango-habanero marinade over the wings, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven or Grill: If baking, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If grilling, prepare your grill for medium-high heat.

        Bake or Grill the Wings:

          - For Baked Wings: Line a baking tray with foil, and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the rack. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden, crispy, and cooked through.

            - For Grilled Wings: Lightly oil the grill grates. Grill the marinated wings for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are charred and cooked through.

Prepare the Sauce (Optional): While the wings are cooking, you can simmer any leftover marinade in a small saucepan over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly. This will create a glaze you can brush over the wings after cooking.

Serve: Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven or grill. If using, brush them with the thickened marinade sauce for extra flavor. Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro and lime wedges on the side.
