Magic Cookie Bars

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup butterscotch chips

1 cup shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened, as per preference)

1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

    Prepare the Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter and resemble wet sand.

      Press the Base: Pour the graham cracker mixture into the prepared baking dish. Press it down evenly with your hands or the back of a measuring cup to form a solid base.

        Layer the Fillings: In a separate bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Drizzle half of this mixture over the graham cracker base.

          Add Chocolate and Butterscotch Chips: Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips and butterscotch chips evenly over the base, followed by the shredded coconut and chopped nuts.

            Finish with Condensed Milk: Drizzle the remaining sweetened condensed milk mixture on top of the layered ingredients to ensure everything sticks together.

              Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

                Cool and Slice: Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Then refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Finally, cut into bars and serve.
