Ingredients

2 tubes of crescent roll dough

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the crescent rolls: Unroll one tube of crescent roll dough and lay it evenly over the bottom of the greased baking dish. Seal any seams to create a cohesive crust.

Make the cheesecake filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to blend until smooth and creamy.

Add the eggs and other ingredients: Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the sour cream, lemon juice, and salt. Mix until fully combined and the mixture is smooth.

Spread the cheesecake mixture: Pour the cheesecake filling over the crescent roll crust in the baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Top with berries: Scatter the fresh berries over the cheesecake filling, evenly distributing them for bursts of flavor.

Add the second layer of crescent rolls: Unroll the second tube of crescent roll dough and lay it over the top of the berries and cheesecake filling. Again, seal any seams to create a full covering.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Cool and serve: Once baked, allow the casserole to cool for at least 15 minutes. If desired, dust with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream for an even sweeter touch.

Slice and enjoy: Cut into squares and serve warm or chilled, savoring the delightful combination of creamy cheesecake and tender crescent rolls!
