Ingredients

4 cups water

4 green tea bags

1 orange, zested and juiced

1-2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes

Extra orange slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Boil the Water: In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Steep the Tea: Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add the green tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer it.

Prep the Citrus: While the tea is steeping, wash the orange thoroughly. Zest the orange, avoiding the white pith, and then juice it into a bowl, measuring out about 1/4 cup of juice.

Mix the Ingredients: After steeping the tea, remove the tea bags and stir in the orange juice, zest, honey (or agave), and grated ginger (if using). Mix well until the honey is fully dissolved.

Cool the Tea: Let the mixture cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours until chilled, or overnight for a more vibrant flavor.

Serve the Drink: Once chilled, prepare glasses filled with ice cubes. Pour the orange green tea over the ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves and extra orange slices if desired.

Enjoy Your Refreshing Drink: Stir the tea with a spoon and enjoy your icy, revitalizing citrus drink!
