Ingredients

4 cups ripe honeydew melon, cubed

2 cups cold water

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

1-2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (to taste)

A pinch of salt

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Lime slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Honeydew: Start by selecting a perfectly ripe honeydew melon. Cut the melon in half, remove the seeds, and scoop out the flesh. Cut the flesh into cubes for easy blending.

Blend: In a blender, combine the honeydew melon cubes with 2 cups of cold water. Blend on high until smooth, about 30-60 seconds.

Strain (optional): If you prefer a smoother texture, you can strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher or large bowl, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible. If you like it pulpy, you can skip this step.

Sweeten and Flavor: Add the fresh lime juice, honey (or agave syrup), and a pinch of salt to the blended honeydew. Stir well to combine. Adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or agave if desired.

Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the agua fresca for at least 30 minutes to chill. Serve over ice in tall glasses, garnished with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lime if desired.

Enjoy: Sip and enjoy your refreshing honeydew melon agua fresca on a hot day!
