Grilled Neapolitan Cake Sandwich Melt

Ingredients
  

4 slices of brioche or white bread

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 cup vanilla ice cream, slightly softened

1 cup chocolate ice cream, slightly softened

1 cup strawberry ice cream, slightly softened

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

1/4 cup chocolate syrup

1/4 cup strawberry sauce

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions
 

Prep the Bread: Spread 1 tablespoon of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread. This will be the outside of your sandwich for that perfect golden crust.

    Layer the Ice Cream: Take two slices of bread and spread a layer of vanilla ice cream on one slice, followed by a generous layer of chocolate ice cream on the other. Add the strawberry ice cream in the middle, creating a colorful layered effect.

      Add Fresh Strawberries: Sprinkle the sliced fresh strawberries over the strawberry ice cream layer, then drizzle with chocolate syrup and strawberry sauce for extra flavor.

        Assemble the Sandwich: Carefully place the second slice of bread on top of the layer, buttered side facing out. Press down gently to seal. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread and ice cream.

          Grill the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Once hot, reduce the heat to low and place the sandwiches in the skillet. Grill until the bottom is golden brown and the ice cream is starting to melt, about 3-4 minutes.

            Flip and Grill: Gently flip the sandwiches and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown. If desired, you can cover with a lid to help the ice cream melt a bit more evenly.

              Serve: Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice in half, and dust with powdered sugar if preferred. Serve immediately with extra chocolate and strawberry sauce on the side for dipping.
