Ingredients

For the Greek Turkey Meatballs:

1 lb ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup finely chopped red onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1/2 cucumber, grated and drained

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Meatball Mixture:

    - In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, red onion, minced garlic, egg, parsley, dill, oregano, salt, and pepper.

      - Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix as this can make the meatballs tough.

        Shape the Meatballs:

          - Lightly grease your hands with olive oil and form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.

            - Set the meatballs on a plate or tray as you shape them.

              Cook the Meatballs:

                - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs to the skillet, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. (You may need to cook in batches.)

                  - Sear the meatballs until golden brown on all sides (about 6-7 minutes in total). Once browned, you can lower the heat and cover to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

                    Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce:

                      - In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (make sure to drain excess water), minced garlic, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

                        - Taste and adjust seasoning as desired. Cover and refrigerate to let the flavors meld until ready to serve.

                          Serve:

                            - Plate the cooked meatballs and serve alongside a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce. Consider pairing with warm pita bread, fresh salad, or your favorite roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
