Ingredients

500g large prawns, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 red chili peppers, finely chopped (adjust according to spice preference)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Prawns: Rinse the prawns under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season them lightly with salt and black pepper.

Melt the Butter: In a large skillet or frying pan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Be careful not to let it brown.

Sauté Garlic and Chili: Add the minced garlic and chopped chili peppers to the melted butter. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not burned.

Cook the Prawns: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the seasoned prawns to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink, then flip them over and add the smoked paprika.

Add Lemon and Pamper the Prawns: Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and add the lemon zest. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, tossing the prawns to coat them thoroughly in the garlic chili butter.

Adjust Seasoning: Taste a prawn and adjust the seasoning with more salt, lemon juice, or chili if needed.

Serve: Once cooked through, remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
