Garlic Butter Shrimp Toast Bites

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

8 slices of French baguette or ciabatta bread

Olive oil, for brushing

Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Prepare the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt, black pepper, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Toss to coat evenly and set aside.

    Make Garlic Butter: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

      Cook the Shrimp: Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and opaque. Stir in the lemon juice and remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook for an additional minute until the butter melts and everything is well combined. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.

        Prepare the Baguette Slices: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil. Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they’re crispy and golden brown.

          Assemble the Toast Bites: Once the toast is ready, spoon a generous amount of the garlic butter shrimp mixture onto each slice. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor.
