Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (preferably 80/20 for flavor)

4 cloves garlic, minced

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to break it apart and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until it’s browned and no longer pink.

Add Garlic Butter: Once the beef is cooked, push it to one side of the skillet. In the empty side, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Then, mix the garlic and butter together with the beef.

Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the beef in the skillet, stirring to coat all the meat evenly in the sauce. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until everything is heated through and combined.

Warm the Tortillas: While the beef is simmering, heat the tortillas in a separate skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds per side, or until warmed and slightly toasted.

Assemble the Tacos: To assemble the tacos, place a generous portion of the garlic butter honey BBQ beef onto each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese.

Garnish: Finish with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.

Enjoy: Dig in and savor these delicious, flavorful tacos!
