⅓ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 cup whole milk

½ cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup mixed fresh fruits (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, or bananas)

½ cup cream cheese, softened

¼ cup powdered sugar

Zest of 1 lemon

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin liners.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and granulated sugar until well combined.

      Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat the egg lightly. Add in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

        Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.

          Fold in Fruits: Gently fold in the mixed fresh fruits, ensuring they are evenly dispersed throughout the batter.

            Prepare Cream Cheese Topping: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest. Mix until smooth and creamy.

              Fill Muffin Tins: Spoon the muffin batter into the prepared muffin tins, filling each cup about ⅔ full. Add a generous dollop of the cream cheese mixture on top of each muffin.

                Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

                  Cool and Serve: Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
