Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, pitted and diced

1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cold water

Pinch of salt

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Peaches: Start by washing the peaches thoroughly. Cut them in half, remove the pits, and dice them into smaller pieces.

Blend the Mixture: In a blender or food processor, combine the diced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cold water, and a pinch of salt. Blend until you achieve a smooth puree.

Taste and Adjust: Taste the puree and adjust the sweetness if desired. If the peaches aren’t sweet enough, you can add a little more sugar, but be mindful not to overpower the natural peach flavor.

Chill the Mixture: Pour the peach puree into a bowl and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Chilling helps improve the texture of the sorbet.

Freeze the Sorbet: After chilling, transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to churn until the sorbet reaches a soft-serve consistency. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.

Manual Freezing Method: If using the manual method, stir the mixture with a fork every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours, ensuring to break up any ice crystals that form, until the sorbet is fully frozen and fluffy.

Serve: Once the sorbet is frozen to your liking, scoop it into serving bowls or cones. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an added touch.

Enjoy: Serve immediately or store the sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer until you’re ready to impress your guests!
