Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust for sweetness)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 cup blanched almonds, coarsely chopped

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Fresh fruit (such as berries or banana slices) for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Yogurt Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and almond extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy, ensuring all ingredients are well incorporated.

Add the Almonds: Gently fold in the chopped blanched almonds. If using, also add the dark chocolate chips, mixing just until evenly distributed.

Line the Baking Dish: Line an 8x8-inch baking dish or a similar size with parchment paper, letting it hang over the sides for easy removal.

Spread the Mixture: Pour the yogurt mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer, smoothing out the top as much as possible.

Freeze: Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid, and place it in the freezer. Freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until completely solid.

Slice and Serve: Once frozen, remove the dish from the freezer. Use the parchment paper to lift the frozen yogurt slab out of the dish. Transfer to a cutting board and slice into bars or squares.

Garnish (Optional): If desired, top with fresh fruit before serving, or drizzle with additional honey.

Enjoy: Serve immediately or store remaining slices in an airtight container in the freezer.
