Ingredients

4 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 cup rolled oats

½ cup almond flour (or any flour of your choice)

¼ cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1⁄2 teaspoon salt

1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon

Optional: Chopped nuts or shredded coconut for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the rolled oats, almond flour, and cinnamon. Combine everything until you have a thick, cohesive mixture.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

Assemble the Layers: Line an 8x8 inch square baking dish with parchment paper. Pour half of the banana-oat mixture into the bottom of the dish, spreading it evenly. Drizzle half of the melted chocolate over the layer, spreading it gently with a spatula.

Add Second Layer: Spoon the remaining banana-oat mixture over the first layer and spread it into an even layer. Pour the remaining melted chocolate on top, spreading it over the layers.

Add Toppings (if desired): Sprinkle chopped nuts or shredded coconut over the top for extra texture and flavor.

Freeze: Cover the dish with plastic wrap or foil and place it in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.

Cut into Bars: Remove the dish from the freezer. Lift the frozen pie slab out of the dish using the parchment paper. Use a sharp knife to cut into bars of your desired size.

Serve: Keep the bars in the freezer until you’re ready to enjoy them. They can be served straight from the freezer or allowed to sit for a few minutes to soften slightly.

Store: Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.
