Ingredients

4 large flour tortillas

1 cup fig jam (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded cream cheese (or a mild cheese like mozzarella)

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1 tablespoon honey (optional, for drizzling)

Fresh fruit (like apple slices or berries) for serving

Butter or cooking spray for the skillet

Instructions

Prepare the Skillet: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.

Assemble Quesadillas: Spread a generous layer of fig jam on half of each tortilla. Sprinkle shredded cream cheese on top of the fig jam and, if desired, sprinkle a dash of ground cinnamon for an extra flavor kick.

Fold and Cook: Fold the tortillas in half, pressing down gently to seal the edges. Place one folded quesadilla in the heated skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side, or until it turns golden brown and slightly crispy.

Flip and Finish: Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side. Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before cutting into wedges.

Serve Warm: Repeat with the remaining tortillas. Drizzle honey over the top of the quesadillas if desired, and serve with fresh fruit on the side for a colorful and nutritious addition.
