Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (any color)

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 12x16 inches thick. Make sure it's even and not too thin.

Layer the Fillings: Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving about an inch of space along the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Then, layer the pepperoni, bell peppers, and black olives evenly over the cheese.

Season: Sprinkle the dried oregano and garlic powder over the top of the fillings for extra flavor.

Roll It Up: Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough over the filling, keeping it tight but not too tight so the filling stays inside. Pinch the ends to seal the Stromboli, ensuring that no filling escapes during baking.

Brush with Egg Wash: Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg to achieve a beautiful golden color when baked.

Make Slits: Using a sharp knife, make a few diagonal slits on top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape during baking.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the Stromboli is golden brown and cooked through.

Cool and Slice: Once out of the oven, allow the Stromboli to cool for about 5-10 minutes. Slice into individual pieces and serve warm with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
