Instructions

Make the Oreo Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until they become fine crumbs.

        - Add the melted butter to the Oreo crumbs and blend until well combined.

          - Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.

            - Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

              Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling:

                - In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the peanut butter. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and fully combined.

                  - Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.

                    - Gently fold in the whipped topping until well incorporated, being careful not to deflate the mixture.

                      Assemble the Pie:

                        - Once the Oreo crust has cooled, pour the peanut butter filling into the crust. Spread it evenly with a spatula.

                          - Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. This allows it to set properly.

                            Garnish and Serve:

                              - After the pie has set, top with additional whipped topping.

                                - Sprinkle with chopped peanuts or mini chocolate chips if desired, and drizzle with chocolate or peanut butter sauce for an extra touch.

                                  - Slice and serve chilled for a delightful treat!
