Crispy Parmesan Chicken with Garlic Sauce

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying (olive oil or vegetable oil)

For the Garlic Sauce:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Juice of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap. Pound them to an even thickness using a meat mallet (about 1/2 inch thick) to ensure even cooking.

    Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, add the flour seasoned with salt and pepper. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy. In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, dried Italian herbs, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

      Bread the Chicken: Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mix, pressing down gently to adhere.

        Fry the Chicken: Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
