1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

½ teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts)

1 cup pretzel bites

½ cup dried cranberries or raisins

¼ cup sunflower seeds

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Prepare the Chickpeas: After rinsing the chickpeas, make sure they are well-drained. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, which will help them become crispy.

      Seasoning the Chickpeas: In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, sea salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Toss well until all chickpeas are evenly coated with the spices.

        Roasting the Chickpeas: Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

          Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the roasted chickpeas, mixed nuts, pretzel bites, dried cranberries or raisins, and sunflower seeds. Toss everything together until evenly mixed.
