9 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

1 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (plus more for garnish)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved (for freshness)

Red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

Instructions
 

Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

      Add Tomatoes: Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally and cook for about 5 minutes.
