Ingredients

12 oz fettuccine or pasta of your choice

2 large chicken breasts, diced

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Optional: Red pepper flakes for added heat

Optional: Crispy bacon bits for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the diced chicken breasts, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through (about 7-10 minutes). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Cowboy Butter: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, and Worcestershire sauce. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Create the Sauce: Lower the heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Combine and Serve: Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet, along with the drained pasta. Stir to combine, adding grated Parmesan cheese gradually until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.

Season and Garnish: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir in fresh parsley just before serving.

Plate and Enjoy: Serve hot, garnished with crispy bacon bits for an extra layer of flavor if you like. Enjoy your delicious Cowboy Butter Chicken Pasta!
