Ingredients

For the crust:

2 cups corn chips (like Fritos)

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

¼ cup granulated sugar

For the ice cream filling:

4 cups vanilla ice cream, slightly softened

1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup crushed corn chips (for mixing)

½ cup chocolate syrup (for drizzling)

For the topping:

1 cup whipped cream (for topping)

½ cup crushed corn chips (for garnish)

Extra chocolate syrup (for drizzling on top)

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - In a medium bowl, combine the corn chips, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the corn chips are well coated and the mixture resembles wet sand.

        - Press this mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish to form the crust.

          - Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

            Make the Ice Cream Filling:

              - In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Gently fold them together until fully combined.

                - Gently fold in the crushed corn chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the filling.

                  Assemble the Pie:

                    - Once the crust has cooled, pour the ice cream mixture into the prepared corn chip crust, spreading it out evenly.

                      - Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top of the ice cream filling. Use a knife or skewer to create swirls if desired.

                        - Cover the pie with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until the ice cream is firm.

                          Serve:

                            - When ready to serve, remove the pie from the freezer and let it sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature to soften slightly for easier slicing.

                              - Top with an additional cup of whipped cream and sprinkle the remaining crushed corn chips over the top for garnish.

                                - Drizzle with extra chocolate syrup before slicing and serving.
