12 ounces of bowtie pasta

2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved

8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls, halved

1 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)

1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted (optional for crunch)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside to cool.

    Mix the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs (if using). Adjust seasoning to taste.

      Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and chopped basil.
