Ingredients

1 pound (450g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: If using store-bought dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes. If homemade, make sure it's ready to use.

Divide the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough and cut it into 12 equal pieces.

Shape the Knots: Take each piece of dough and roll it into a long rope, about 6-8 inches long. Then, tie it into a knot and tuck the ends underneath. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Brush the Knots: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each knot, ensuring they are evenly coated. Reserve some garlic butter for brushing after baking.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown.

Finish with Garlic Butter: Once baked, remove the knots from the oven and immediately brush them with the reserved garlic butter.

Garnish: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley and, if desired, grated Parmesan cheese over the knots while they are still warm.

Serve: Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or side dish. Enjoy with marinara sauce or a side of olive oil for dipping!
