Ingredients

1 medium-sized head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets

1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)

1 cup plant-based milk (or regular milk)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Cauliflower Bites: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth to form a batter.

Coat the Cauliflower: Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s well coated. Let any excess batter drip off before placing it on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Bites: Drizzle the olive oil over the coated cauliflower florets, then bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the outer layer is golden brown and crispy.

Add BBQ Sauce: Remove the cauliflower bites from the oven and brush them generously with BBQ sauce on all sides. Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Serve: Once the bites are sticky and caramelized, remove them from the oven. Let them cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley for color and added flavor.

Enjoy: Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or more BBQ sauce on the side. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or unique side dish!
