Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained

1 jar (24 oz) chocolate fudge sauce

1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1 cup maraschino cherries, drained

1 cup shredded coconut

1 cup sliced strawberries (fresh or frozen)

Whipped cream, for serving

Chocolate syrup, for drizzling

Chopped nuts, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter to ensure easy removal of the cake.

      Layer the Ingredients:

        - Spread the mashed bananas evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

          - Layer the crushed pineapple over the bananas, ensuring it's evenly distributed.

            - Next, pour the chocolate fudge sauce over the pineapple, spreading it to cover the layer completely.

Add Cake Mix: Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the chocolate fudge layer. Do not mix; simply spread it out evenly.

Pour the Butter: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. Make sure every bit of the cake mix is moistened for an even bake.

Toppings Galore: Sprinkle chopped nuts, shredded coconut, maraschino cherries, and sliced strawberries over the top of the cake. These will create a beautiful, colorful topping that mimics a classic banana split!

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake has set.

Cool & Serve: Allow the dump cake to cool slightly before serving. Scoop generous portions into bowls and top with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Add a few extra chopped nuts for crunch if desired.

Enjoy: Dig in and enjoy your delightful Banana Split Dump Cake with friends and family—perfect for parties, potlucks, or a special treat!
