Ingredients

4 large crescent roll dough sheets

6 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 cup diced cooked ham (or bacon or sausage)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Open the tube of crescent roll dough and unroll it carefully. Instead of separating into triangles, pinch the seams together to form a solid dough sheet. Cut each sheet into halves to create 'boats.'

Form the Boats: Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of 8 muffin cups, creating an indentation in each to hold the filling.

Mix the Filling: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Stir in the diced ham, shredded cheese, bell peppers, and green onions.

Fill the Boats: Carefully pour the egg mixture evenly into each croissant boat. Make sure not to overfill—they should be about 3/4 full to allow for rising.

Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the egg is set and the croissants are golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before using a spatula to gently lift the croissant boats from the muffin tin. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.

Enjoy: Serve warm, and enjoy your delightful breakfast croissant boats alongside a cup of coffee or fresh juice!
