For the Spicy Chickpeas:

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Avocado Lime Crema:

1 ripe avocado

½ cup Greek yogurt (or sour cream)

Juice of 1 lime

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt to taste

For the Tacos:

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded red cabbage

½ cup diced tomatoes

½ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chickpeas:

    - In a bowl, combine the drained chickpeas, olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Toss until chickpeas are well coated.

      Air Fry the Chickpeas:

        - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

          - Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

            - Air fry for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking, until they are crispy and golden brown.

              Make the Avocado Lime Crema:

                - While the chickpeas are cooking, scoop the avocado into a bowl and mash it with a fork.

                  - Add Greek yogurt (or sour cream), lime juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and well combined. Adjust salt and lime to taste.

                    Prepare the Tacos:

                      - Warm the tortillas in a skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side or until pliable.

                        - Assemble the tacos by adding a generous scoop of crispy chickpeas to each tortilla.

                          Top and Serve:

                            - Add shredded red cabbage, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of avocado lime crema on top of the chickpeas.
