Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix

3 large eggs

1 cup water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 can (16 oz) chocolate frosting

1 cup white fondant or heavy whipped cream (for webs)

Edible black decorations (like edible glitter or candy spiders)

Optional: Halloween-themed sprinkles

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Pour the batter evenly into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, spread or pipe the chocolate frosting generously on top of each cupcake.

Using the white fondant or whipped cream, create a spider web design on top of the frosting by spiraling outwards from the center and drawing lines across it with a toothpick or the back of a spoon.

Decorate each cupcake with edible black decorations or candy spiders, placing them strategically on the webs for a spooky effect.

Optional: Sprinkle with Halloween-themed sprinkles for extra flair.

Serve and enjoy the spooktacular treats!
